Two students were arrested after being found with a weapon at Clarkston High School in DeKalb County on Thursday, the school district said. No one was injured.
Police went to the school after a report that two students had a weapon, according to a district letter to parents. The report prompted a lockdown. The district did not disclose the students’ ages or identities.
The district said the students would face legal and disciplinary consequences. It encouraged students and families to tell a parent, guardian or staff member if they suspect an unsafe situation at school.
