Former Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl dies at 84
Jon Kyl, who represented Arizona for nearly three decades in Congress and briefly returned to the U.S. Senate in 2018, has died at 84.
His family said he died after complications linked to a neurological illness. They also said details about memorial services will be released later.
Kyl was a longtime Republican figure in Arizona politics. In 2018, Gov. Doug Ducey selected him to take the Senate seat left vacant by John McCain.
