San Franciscans experiencing homelessness can register and vote even without a fixed address or a physical ID card when they register or cast a ballot.
Registration is available online at registertovote.ca.gov. Paper forms are available at every San Francisco Public Library branch and at most government offices in the city, including post offices and state Department of Motor Vehicles offices. Voters who use a paper form can keep the Voter Receipt portion and mail the completed form.
People can also register and vote in person at City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, or at their local polling place on Election Day. The ballot includes races for the Board of Supervisors and school and community college boards, as well as local, regional and state propositions.
