Trump attacks Supreme Court picks after setbacks on election and policy cases
President Donald Trump criticized justices he had appointed to the Supreme Court after a series of rulings that went against him on mail voting, tariffs and birthright citizenship.
He made the remarks Tuesday and cast the court’s recent decisions as a personal betrayal. The dispute centers in part on a ruling that blocked Trump-backed limits on mailed ballots ahead of the midterm elections.
The latest criticism marks a public break with members of the court Trump helped shape. Beyond the voting case, he also pointed to decisions involving tariffs and birthright citizenship as reasons for his anger.
