Delta offered a travel waiver for flights booked for Saturday to, from or through Atlanta as travelers faced possible disruptions from Hurricane Isaias. The waiver lets affected passengers change their plans without an extra charge.
The airline also waived costs for certain changes to Friday or Saturday flights involving Pensacola, Panama City, Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Gulfport-Biloxi, Columbus in Mississippi, and Montgomery, Mobile, Dothan and Birmingham in Alabama.
Saturday night’s Georgia-Alabama football game in Tuscaloosa remained on the schedule. President Donald Trump said Friday afternoon that he would not attend, so law enforcement and first responders could focus on the storm response. Alabama Athletics urged fans to check official channels for weather updates and said campus tailgating would not be allowed before noon. Kemp advised Georgians traveling to the game to follow forecasts and be ready to change course if conditions worsened.
