Free State Fair of Texas tickets given to students from pre-K through eighth grade are now valid any day through Oct. 18, including the fair’s final two weekends, fair officials said.
The change covers tickets distributed to students within 100 miles of Fair Park in Dallas. Opening-period bad weather disrupted plans for many families, officials said. The tickets had traditionally been limited to weekdays, but the fair added weekend use after hearing from parents and educators.
Students in participating school districts can use the tickets for admission, including access to educational exhibits, cultural programs and family entertainment. Parents can get $5 off admission online, and discounted admission is available to everyone after 5 p.m. each day. The fair runs through Sunday, Oct. 18.
