Miami could climb to third in a projected college football top 25 despite not playing a game.
The forecast places Georgia first and Notre Dame second, with Miami ahead of Ohio State and Indiana. It points to upsets near the top of the rankings and losses by LSU, Florida and Pitt as reasons the order could change.
Notre Dame’s 58-7 win over Stanford also figures in the projected top five. The ranking remains a prediction, not a confirmed poll result.
