22.12 – 19.01
October is your career peak of the year: you are in plain view, and what you say is remembered. The first ten days bring extra responsibility that is not yet backed by real authority, and that is exactly what you will have to level out. The middle of the month suits a conversation about terms and about how the load is shared. By the end of October you will see that a system has to be built rather than carried on your own shoulders.
At home you are valued for something other than your achievements, and this month is the time to actually feel it. Your partner is missing your presence, so set aside one evening a week completely, with no work chats. In the middle of October a conversation about the future becomes possible, the one you have been putting off since summer. By the end of the month the relationship grows warmer if you give it a real place in your schedule.
The conversation about your pay becomes concrete in October: you have both the arguments and the right moment. Name a specific figure and the date from which the new terms take effect. Put the agreement in writing straight away, and in a month it will spare you an argument. Large personal purchases are better left to the second half of the month, once the income is confirmed.
A promotion, a new project or an offer to lead a whole area is possible, most likely in the first half of the month. Before you agree, list what you will hand over to other people, otherwise it simply turns into overload. The first and second ten days are the best time for talks with management. The final ten days suit closing off the reporting and preparing the plan for November.
Your shoulders, neck and jaw are holding tension that you simply do not notice. Several short breaks spread through the day work better than one long one in the evening. Do not replace rest with coffee, because in October that shows up in your sleep very quickly. Make your weekends deliberately unhurried, without feeling guilty about not being productive.
