Inglewood will audit its financial relationship with SoFi Stadium to determine whether it may be owed years of ticket taxes. The City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to commission the review, a month after a judge voided the 2015 contract that brought the stadium to the city.
City officials say the ruling removed a cap on the admissions tax Inglewood could collect. They also plan to examine the authenticity of $376 million in infrastructure bills that Hollywood Park claims the city owes.
The council allocated $325,000 from the general fund for the audit. Its motion directs the city attorney to hire an accounting firm and requires a public report on the findings within 30 days. The results could also figure in discussions about the city's $30.8 million deficit.
