A gripe water product used to soothe infants is reportedly being recalled because alcohol is among its ingredients. Parents in New York State may need to check whether they have the affected product.
The product is described as a four-fluid-ounce amber bottle in a blue cardboard box, with an oral syringe included. Its lot number appears on the bottom of the box and on a side panel of the bottle.
Parents should compare the product name, manufacturer and lot number with the official recall notice before deciding whether their bottle is affected. Those with an affected product should follow the notice’s instructions and consult a pediatrician if they have questions about alternatives.
