The San Francisco 49ers beat the Seattle Seahawks 32-29 in Seattle on Sunday, extending their unbeaten start to 5-0.
Eddy Piñeiro put San Francisco ahead with a 43-yard field goal after Jason Myers had tied the game with his fifth field goal of the day. The 49ers covered all 43 yards of their final scoring drive through Christian McCaffrey and rookie backup Kaelon Black, with receiver Deebo Samuel out because of a hamstring injury.
Seattle’s last drive ended at the San Francisco 41 when a replay review upheld a ruling that Cooper Kupp was a yard short on fourth-and-10. Brock Purdy then took a knee to run out the final 47 seconds. Purdy had thrown an interception earlier, but completed 10 of his last 11 passes for 109 yards.
The Seahawks fell to 3-2. San Francisco next hosts the Washington Commanders on Monday night.
