The Arizona Cardinals have lost nine straight home games, the longest such streak in franchise history. The latest defeat came Sunday, Oct. 11, when the Detroit Lions beat Arizona 45-21 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.
The Cardinals are five losses short of matching the NFL benchmark of 14 consecutive home defeats. Their record home skid follows a lopsided loss that has added to frustration around the team.
Home-field advantage has also become a concern. Visiting fans have frequently been prominent at State Farm Stadium, while repeated losses have made it harder for Arizona to sustain enthusiasm among its own supporters.
