FanDuel lists Miami as a 20.5-point favorite over Florida State for their upcoming game at Hard Rock Stadium. The line opened at 21.5 points, and the current over/under is 56.5.
Miami holds the No. 3 ranking in a national college football poll and is expected to compete for the ACC title and a College Football Playoff championship. Florida State, led by coach Mike Norvell, risks missing a bowl game for a third straight season.
Such a wide spread is unusual in this rivalry, though there are recent precedents. Two years ago, Miami closed as a 21-point favorite and won 36-14. Florida State was favored by 21 points in both 2012 and 2013, winning each game.
