Kyle Monangai ran for 146 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries as the Chicago Bears beat the New York Jets 23-12 at Soldier Field on Sunday.
Chicago finished with a franchise-record 34 first downs to the Jets’ seven and did not punt. Monangai’s 30 carries were the most by a Bears runner since David Montgomery had 32 in 2020.
Tyson Bagent completed 25 of 34 passes for 268 yards and threw one interception. On the opening play, he lined up at wide receiver while Case Keenum took the snap and pitched to D’Andre Swift. Bagent then played quarterback.
Bagent’s playing time also gave him a chance to prepare for a game in Green Bay if Caleb Williams cannot return from a pulled hamstring.
