Oklahoma beat No. 1 Texas 27-24 in Dallas on Saturday when kicker Tate Sandell made a game-ending field goal in the Red River Rivalry.

The Sooners entered the 122nd meeting unranked with a 2-2 record, while the Longhorns were undefeated at 4-0. Oklahoma had lost to Georgia and Michigan earlier in the season. The win was the Sooners’ first over a top-ranked team since they beat Missouri in 2007.

Texas quarterback Arch Manning threw three touchdown passes but also had interceptions. The Longhorns had won the previous two meetings with Oklahoma, including a 23-6 victory in 2025. This time, the unranked team left the Cotton Bowl with the win.
