Raging River State Forest has opened two new mountain-bike descents totaling about five miles of singletrack, completing a decade of trail construction south of Snoqualmie.
The trails, Over and Out and Wild Waves, mark the final building phase at the forest, about 30 miles southeast of Seattle. Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and the Washington Department of Natural Resources began work on the trail network 10 years ago.
Over and Out runs 2.6 miles on the north side and gives intermediate riders an alternative to the more advanced Poppin Tops descent. Previously known as Trail E, it has now received its official name.
Wild Waves, formerly Trail C, is a 2.5-mile intermediate flow descent on the southwest side. It starts partway up the Return Policy climbing trail and ends at Way Back, adding another option alongside the forest’s more technical routes.
