The Chicago White Sox beat the Cleveland Guardians 4-3 in Game 2 of the American League Division Series, taking a 2-0 series lead back to Rate Field.
Chicago fell behind 2-0 in the first inning. Sean Burke took over with one out in the third and pitched 5⅓ innings as the White Sox scored once in the fourth and three times in the sixth. Cleveland starter Gavin Williams struck out 11 over five innings, but Chicago's middle of the lineup helped turn the game around.
Grant Taylor entered with Chicago ahead by two and gave up an RBI triple to Jo Adell. He got the final out of that inning and retired Cleveland in order in the ninth. The White Sox need one win in the next three games to reach the American League Championship Series.
