Walmart is recalling more than 4.4 million Expert Grill wire brushes because their metal bristles could break off and be swallowed, posing a risk of serious internal injury, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
The brushes were sold at Walmart stores and online from January 2021 through August 2026 for $1 to $28. Made in China, they have black plastic or stainless steel handles; some have an attached metal scraper.
Loose bristles could remain on a grill or get into food. The commission said an injury could require surgery, but no injuries have been reported. Consumers should stop using the brushes and contact Walmart for a full refund or store or online credit.
