Four Miami pizza spots make global top 100
Four Miami pizzerias were included in this year’s 50 Top Pizza ranking of the 100 best pizzerias in the world.
The highest-ranked Miami entry is Francesco Martucci’s restaurant in Wynwood, which opened earlier this year as his first location outside Italy. Martucci is known for long-fermented dough and southern Italian ingredients, with Florida produce also used in the menu.
Also on the list is La Leggenda on Española Way in Miami Beach, led by Naples-born chef Giovanni Gagliardi. The new ranking adds to wider recognition for Miami’s pizza scene, which has expanded well beyond traditional slice shops in recent years.
The ranking was released this week and placed four local pizza spots among the global top 100, giving Miami a notable showing in an international list.
