Invest Atlanta is set to consider a tax incentive for Portman’s Amsterdam Walk apartment project near the Atlanta Beltline.
The proposal would support a redevelopment plan with about 1,100 apartments, including 240 units designated as affordable housing, along with preserved retail space, according to project details summarized in the evidence package.
The incentive is valued at roughly $15 million. Atlanta City Council would still need to approve the deal before it can take effect.
The affordable units would be part of a broader mixed-use project at Amsterdam Walk. The plan, as outlined in the available reporting, pairs the housing component with retained commercial space as the site moves toward redevelopment.
