Monday, Oct. 5, is the last day to register to vote in Georgia’s Nov. 3 midterm elections.
Early voting begins next Tuesday. Two live televised debates are scheduled this week ahead of contests for governor and U.S. Senate.
Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff is seeking reelection against U.S. Rep. Mike Collins. It is the only Senate race this year in which a Democratic incumbent is running in a state Donald Trump won in 2024.
With Gov. Brian Kemp term-limited, Republican Rick Jackson, a first-time political candidate, faces former Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms for governor. Taxes, economic growth, public education and state governance are issues in the race.
