Captain Fathom, a three-year-old chocolate Labrador, served aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln during a record 265 days at sea without a port call.
The dog worked as an expeditionary facility dog, provided at no cost by Mutts With A Mission. He was among those leaving the ship when it arrived in San Diego, California.
Fathom also reunited with his brother, Captain Rudder, who serves aboard the USS Carl Vinson. The two dogs met as Fathom came ashore after the long deployment.
