Joe Burrow threw four touchdown passes as the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Miami Dolphins 31-24 on Sunday in Miami Gardens. Safety Jordan Battle intercepted Miami quarterback Malik Willis twice.
Burrow completed 23 of 32 passes for 190 yards. His scoring passes went to Ja’Marr Chase, Mike Gesicki, Tanner Hudson and Samaje Perine. Chase, who had been questionable after a concussion the previous week, caught six passes for 77 yards, including a one-handed, 45-yard touchdown reception that stretched Cincinnati’s lead to 28-10.
Battle’s interceptions came on consecutive Miami drives in the second quarter. Willis finished with 137 passing yards on 15 completions in 27 attempts and also lost a fumble.
Willis scored on a 1-yard run with 45 seconds left, bringing Miami within seven points. Riley Patterson missed the extra point, and the ensuing onside kick went out of bounds. Cincinnati ended a two-game losing streak and improved to 3-2; Miami fell to 0-5.
