Cowboys enter Week 2 wary of Washington’s pass rush
Dallas goes into its Week 2 game against Washington trying to recover from an opening loss to the New York Giants, while the Commanders are also coming off a defeat after falling to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The early concern for Dallas is Washington’s pressure up front. The Commanders produced 18 pressures and three sacks against Philadelphia last week, according to Pro Football Focus, even without a group built around marquee pass-rush names.
That pressure came from multiple spots. Daron Payne, K'Lavon Chaisson, Sonny Styles, Frankie Luvu and Charles Omenihu combined for 13 of Washington’s 18 pressures, showing the Commanders can disrupt plays from both the edge and the interior.
Dallas is viewed as the favorite heading into the NFC East matchup, but both teams open the week looking for their first win of the season.
