Walmart and Wing plan to introduce drone deliveries in the greater Seattle area in 2027. If the service launches as planned, customers could receive orders within minutes.

Eligible items would include groceries, household essentials, electronics and over-the-counter medicine. The companies say the service could help Puget Sound residents get everyday goods without traveling through traffic.

A drone demonstration scheduled for Tuesday will show how the technology works and offer details about the local plans. The proposed Seattle-area launch is part of an effort by Walmart and Wing to bring drone delivery to 270 Walmart stores across the United States in 2027.
