The Golden State Valkyries beat the Las Vegas Aces 83-81 in Game 2 of the WNBA semifinals, taking a 2-0 series lead and moving one win from their first finals appearance.
Golden State led by 11 entering the fourth quarter, but Las Vegas pulled ahead with just over a minute left. A Gabby Williams jump shot and a Veronica Burton three-pointer put the Valkyries back in front before the game was decided in the final seconds.
Williams finished with 20 points. Tiffany Hayes scored in double figures off the bench and made all eight of her free throws. The Valkyries shot a little over 34 percent from three-point range despite the late basket from Burton.
The series now heads to Las Vegas, where Golden State will have a chance to secure a place in the finals.
