The Golden State Valkyries reached their first WNBA semifinals Friday night, beating the Dallas Wings 77-73 in a decisive playoff game at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Golden State trailed by 16 points in the second half before rallying in front of a sold-out crowd. Forward Gabby Williams scored 17 of her team-high 19 points after halftime, including the final baskets that secured the win.
The victory gave the Valkyries their first playoff series win in their second season since beginning play in 2025. They took the deciding game of a best-of-three opening-round series and will host the defending champion Las Vegas Aces on Sunday to begin a best-of-five semifinal series.
