Logan Almodova, 16, died after a car struck him in San Tan Valley. His family says it does not believe his death was an accident and wants answers.
Pinal County sheriff’s deputies found him badly hurt beside Murray Grey Drive near Gary Road after a call at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Investigators determined that a car had struck him. Logan was taken by helicopter to a hospital in the Phoenix area, where he died.
Deputies said detectives questioned three boys who knew Logan, then released them while the investigation continued. His mother, Megan Almodova, has called for the truth to come out and for accountability. The family described Logan as a loving brother, grandson and friend.
