Relatives seek witnesses after man was pushed from moving Red Line train
Kyle Bickham, 29, died after he was pushed from a moving Red Line train in Greater Grand Crossing, and his family is asking witnesses to help identify everyone involved.
Police said Bickham got into an altercation with three people at about 2:40 p.m. Monday while riding the train. He was pushed out, hit the electrified third rail and was then struck by an oncoming train. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 15-year-old girl has been charged with first-degree murder, mob action and felony assault of a transit employee, according to police. It remains unclear whether the other two people police said were involved have been identified.
Bickham’s relatives gathered near the 69th Street Red Line station on Sunday and urged anyone who saw what happened, or who has other information, to come forward.
