Grapevine coach arrested on child sexual abuse charge
Grapevine police arrested Carlos Ernesto Ramos, 39, in a child sexual abuse case and said investigators are looking into whether other victims may exist.
Police said Ramos was taken into custody on Aug. 26. He is jailed in Tarrant County, with bail set at $500,000. Investigators said the only allegation currently known to them dates to 2023.
Authorities said Ramos had worked with young people in the area for years, including as a volunteer youth leader at a Grapevine church from 2020 to 2023 and as an assistant coach in a youth football league from 2022 to 2024.
Because the case involves a minor and remains under investigation, police said they will not release more details for now. They asked parents or guardians to contact Detective Velez if a child has made a disclosure or if they have specific information suggesting inappropriate conduct.
