A missile struck a passenger terminal at Riyadh’s King Khalid airport on Saturday, and Saudi aviation authorities temporarily suspended flights.

The Houthis claimed responsibility, saying the attack was retaliation for renewed Saudi bombing in Yemen. A diplomatic source also attributed the strike to the Iran-backed group. Saudi aviation authorities confirmed injuries without giving a count.

Three officials briefed on the strike reported at least 12 deaths and 50 injuries. A hospital source said five people remained in intensive care.

Asked whether the United States would support a Saudi military response, President Trump said it might. He said Washington had only recently learned of the attack and would make a decision.
