One person died after a three-vehicle crash on westbound Loop 202 in Chandler on Oct. 5, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.
Troopers were called around 6:50 a.m. to the freeway west of Cooper Road. DPS said a white pickup struck the rear of a white SUV, then hit another vehicle before rolling onto its roof.
One person was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital. Another was hospitalized with injuries described as non-life-threatening. DPS did not identify anyone involved.
The crash caused traffic delays while part of Loop 202 was closed. The Arizona Department of Transportation said the freeway has since reopened.
