A security guard was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a drive-by shooting at a south Seattle nightclub early Sunday, police said.
Officers responding to reports of gunfire near the 5800 block of Fourth Avenue South around 1 a.m. found the 36-year-old guard dead. The 27-year-old woman had been shot in the leg and was taken to a hospital in serious condition, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Police said surveillance video showed a vehicle enter the club’s parking lot before its driver fired several shots and left. Less than an hour later, the vehicle was found burning nearby. Police have not released information about a suspect or a possible motive.
The department is investigating and asks anyone with information to call (206) 233-5000.
