Former hospital employee gets four-year sentence in hidden camera case
Robert Shrader, 41, entered guilty pleas in Montgomery County to seven felony charges tied to covert recordings made in bathrooms and dressing areas at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, the district attorney’s office said.
Investigators said hidden cameras were used to secretly film people in those spaces. Shrader, a former manager at the hospital, received a four-year term in a Texas state jail facility.
Prosecutors said part of the punishment will be served consecutively, requiring him to serve the full term day for day without release credits for good conduct. They also said he gave up his right to appeal, making the convictions and sentence final.
The district attorney’s office said the resolution followed consultation with victims, who supported it, and that avoiding a trial helped protect their privacy.
