Dodgers wrap up another NL West crown with 8-2 win in Cincinnati
The Dodgers clinched the National League West on Thursday, beating the Cincinnati Reds 8-2 for their 13th division title in 14 years.
Kyle Tucker led the offense with a home run, two doubles and three RBIs. The victory pushed Los Angeles to a 9 1/2-game division lead, and the club is assured of at least home-field advantage in a wild-card series.
The Dodgers still have the final week and a half of the regular season to chase a first-round bye into the National League Division Series. Thursday’s win was also built on pitching: Justin Wrobleski threw three perfect innings and Landon Knack followed with four scoreless innings.
