The Dodgers are considering benching Shohei Ohtani for Game 3 of the National League Championship Series, Ken Rosenthal reported Monday.
The report followed Los Angeles’ 7-4 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 2, which left the Dodgers trailing 2-0 in the series. Ohtani is batting .150 in the postseason, with seven strikeouts in 20 at-bats.
He missed time in September and has not hit a home run since Aug. 18. The possibility of benching him comes as Los Angeles seeks its first win of the series.
