Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams will miss Sunday's game at Green Bay, with backup Tyson Bagent set to start. Coach Ben Johnson confirmed Monday that Bagent would play while Williams remains sidelined.
Johnson described Williams' recovery as week-to-week and did not say whether he has resumed running or biking. A return for the following game against the Falcons is uncertain; the Nov. 2 trip to Seattle has been discussed as a possible later date, not a confirmed target.
Bagent started against the Jets on Sunday, following Case Keenum's start against the Eagles the previous week. Chicago never trailed in either game. The Jets outing was Bagent's first start since his rookie season in 2023.
