Oklahoma beat No. 1 Texas 27-24 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on Saturday, October 10, after Tate Sandell kicked a field goal as time expired.
The Sooners entered the 122nd meeting between the rivals unranked, with a 2-2 record. Texas was undefeated at 4-0 and had won the previous two matchups, including a 23-6 victory in 2025.
Texas quarterback Arch Manning threw three touchdown passes but also had interceptions. Oklahoma's win was its first over a top-ranked team since it beat Missouri 38-17 in 2007.
