Security footage from Kelly Clarkson’s visit to Art of Play in Brooklyn appears to show her speaking briefly with the shop owner, but it has no audio to establish what was said.
Pablo Torre released the video Tuesday night. Clarkson spent four minutes and 50 seconds in the store, much of it near the entrance handling what appears to be a kaleidoscope. She appears to ask the owner about Molly, an automaton bird mounted on a wall.
After Clarkson moves away, the owner appears to point toward another product. She does not appear to respond, and he turns to another customer. About 15 minutes after leaving, Clarkson posted that she had felt judged as unable to afford an item and said she had been offered something comparable. The silent footage cannot verify her account of the conversation.
