A man died after being shot Sunday afternoon at Reuel Court in San Francisco’s Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood. It was the neighborhood’s second fatal shooting in a week.
Officers responding to reports of gunfire around 12:40 p.m. found the man unconscious with gunshot wounds. Paramedics tried to save him, but he died at the scene. His identity has not been released, and no arrest has been made.
The other fatal shooting occurred Thursday evening near the Yosemite Slough waterfront. Sunday’s case remains under investigation. If authorities classify it as a homicide, it would be San Francisco’s 21st this year and the neighborhood’s sixth. Anyone with information can contact San Francisco police at 415-575-4444 or text TIP411, starting the message with SFPD; tips may be anonymous.
