The Golden State Valkyries are headed to the WNBA Finals in their second season after sweeping the reigning champion Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.
Golden State won 32 regular-season games under coach Natalie Nakase. Gabby Williams and Veronica Burton have led a deep rotation despite a roster without an MVP candidate, a dominant post player or a lineup filled with All-Stars.
The Valkyries will face the Atlanta Dream in a best-of-seven series, with a chance to win a title.
