Mohammad Dawood Alokozay, a 32-year-old Afghan national living in Fort Worth, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Oct. 6, to transmitting a threat involving a suicide attack.
Court documents place the threat in a Nov. 23, 2025, social media livestream involving several people. Portions of the exchange were recorded and posted online. Prosecutors said the conversation included insults linked to longstanding tribal animosity.
Public reports of the video helped federal and local authorities find Alokozay, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas said. Authorities found no bomb-making materials when they searched his home and phone. Prosecutors said investigators concluded he had not intended to carry out an attack.
He entered the plea before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey L. Cureton. The offense carries a possible federal prison term of up to five years and a fine of up to $250,000.
