Dallas County residents must register by Monday, October 5, to vote in the November 3 general election, according to the Texas Secretary of State’s office. Voters who have moved also have until that date to update their address.
Residents can check their registration status and address through the state’s online voter lookup, using a Voter Unique Identifier, a Texas driver’s license number or their name. Anyone who cannot find a record or sees an error can contact the Dallas County voter registrar at 469-627-8683.
New applicants can fill out the state form online, but that alone does not submit it. They must print and sign the form, then mail it with an October 5 postmark or deliver it to the registrar by that date. The office is at 1520 Round Table Drive in Dallas; applicants should call to confirm its hours before visiting. Early voting runs October 19 through October 30.
