Phoenix police arrested 47-year-old Spencer Vidal after a man was shot dead Friday night near 39th and Grand avenues. Investigators said an automated license plate reader helped them locate Vidal.
Officers found the victim with several gunshot wounds in a business parking lot. Phoenix firefighters attended the scene, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the two men had argued before the shooting and that the suspect left before officers arrived. Vidal was later arrested at his home and booked into jail on one count of second-degree homicide.
