Broward sheriff’s deputies identified Ylda Lucia Cabello Ynocente, 58, as the woman detectives say was killed by her son at their Tamarac home Friday night.
Detectives allege that Manuel Antonio Farfán Cabello, 28, stabbed his mother several times. Fire rescue personnel pronounced her dead at about 7:45 p.m. Friday, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Farfán Cabello that night at 5301 NW 28 Ave. Court records show he faces a first-degree premeditated murder charge. He remained at the Broward County Main Jail on Saturday.
At a Sunday morning court appearance, a judge denied him bond and ordered a medical evaluation. Circuit Judge George Odom was set to preside over the case prosecutors filed Saturday.
