Federal charges filed in Texas Medical Center garage attack case
Perry Bernard Green is now facing federal kidnapping and carjacking charges in connection with a May attack inside a Texas Medical Center parking garage, according to FBI Houston and court records.
Investigators say the attack happened just before 7 a.m. on May 11 in Garage 1 on Fannin Street, between Houston Methodist and Texas Children’s Hospital. Court records allege Green attacked a woman as she was getting out of her car, stabbed her with a knife, forced her back into the vehicle, and demanded credit cards and keys.
Authorities allege he bound the victim with zip ties and kept her in the car while trying to take the vehicle and other property. Police previously said the woman was an employee and was in her car on the fifth floor when the suspect attacked.
Court records also list Green’s prior convictions, including drug, robbery and other offenses dating back to 1998.
